Regenerative Cell Institute (RCI) offers the most advanced regenerative cell treatments for arthritis, joint injuries, spinal pain, pain management, musculoskeletal problems, medical diseases, and aesthetic procedures.
By utilizing high density activated platelet rich plasma and adult stem cells to stimulate the natural healing and regeneration of tissues, Regenerative Cell Institute is changing the practice of traditional medicine and revolutionizing pain management, the treatment of medical conditions, and aesthetics.
Dr. Crispino Santos and the Regenerative Cell Institute team combine cutting-edge regenerative medical techniques utilizing stem cells and platelet rich plasma (PRP) with several stem cell extraction procedures to offer the latest stem cell and PRP therapy treatments. Regenerative Cell Institute delivers the most effective regenerative cell treatments and ensures patients receive the highest concentrations of stem cells to spark the body’s natural healing and rejuvenation processes.
Regenerative medicine uses the body’s own adult stem cells, and molecules to repair and renew tissue and organs. In practice, it encompasses the clinical applications of platelet rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy. Each of these medical modalities contributes to specific effects.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is used to repair injured tissue by releasing growth factors from the patient’s blood. These growth factors induce repair by activating cells to engage in a series of repair mechanisms.
Stem cell therapy introduces new adult stem cells into damaged tissue in order to treat disease, injury, or signs of aging. Medical research indicates that stem cell treatments have the potential to change the face of medicine by offering alternatives to traditional medical practices used in pain management, the treatment of medical conditions, and even aesthetic cosmetic procedures. Stem cells’ ability to self-renew and generate subsequent new cells with variable degrees of differentiation capacities, offers significant potential for the generation of new tissue. This tissue can potentially replace diseased and damaged areas of the body and rejuvenate existing tissue, with minimal risk of rejection and side effects.
The basis for stem cell therapy is stem cells’ ability to differentiate and produce new cells. Since everything starts at the cellular level, reversing cell hyperplasia and cell death by implanting or stimulating the production of new cells in a particular tissue can regenerate that tissue, boosting the body’s natural ability to heal.
Dr. Crispino Santos is the President and founder of both the Regenerative Cell Institute (RCI) and Interventional Pain Medicine (IPM). Dr. Santos attended medical school at the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, and completed his post-doctoral residency training in general surgery and anesthesiology at King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He completed one year of advanced anesthesiology fellowship at University of South Florida-Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Santos first practiced medicine for nine years in Mason City, Iowa, where he started the cardiac anesthesia program and also established the Pain Management Center at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Santos moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and joined Nevada Orthopedic and Spine Center in February, 1998, beginning his full time practice as an interventional pain physician. He is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Pain Management. He is also board certified by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Santos is a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice and re-certified in pain medicine by American Board of Anesthesiology. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures for treatment of spinal pain and other complex chronic pain conditions. He is experienced in spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, radiofrequency lesioning, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD) procedure, disc decompression (dekompressor and nucleoplasty), IDET, spinal infusion pumps, discography, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty and other cutting-edge treatments. He is also trained in endoscopic microdiscectomy, lumbar facet fusion, and sacroiliac fusion.
In 2013, Dr. Santos extended his practice beyond traditional pain management and established the Regenerative Cell Institute. Using the latest stem cell research and cutting edge regenerative medical techniques, Dr. Santos and the Regenerative Cell Institute offer the most advanced regenerative cell treatments for an array of medical ailments including arthritis, joint injuries, spinal pain, chronic pain management, and aesthetic cosmetic procedures. Dr. Santos is an active member of World Institute of Pain, International Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, International Neuromodulation Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management, and American Association of Pain Management in Ultrasound and American Association of Orthopedic Medicine.
